Calea Victoriei ghost building revisited
We had two posts about the former ministry building on Calea Victoriei (here and here). Since spring is back in Bucharest we've been out exploring a bit so we also went back to the Building on Calea Victoriei. It's been said that the building will soon be demolished (that would be spectacular!!!) so perhaps this is the reason someone's been really working hard taking out all the wooden flooring, doors, metal bits and the marble pavements... However, the building is still up and here are some pictures of the corridors and little bits and pieces we found there. They are all reminders of all the NGO's, magazine offices, workers unions and even political parties that used to have their offices there in the 90's. Something we don't have is pictures of the banners from the student demonstrations in the 90's which we found in one of the offices - however I hope they won't be left there to go with the ruble when the building will be demolished. Those things belong to museums.
